Our Wonderful Event, Saturday September 14th, from 10:00am - 1:00pm was wonderful!

DANCE, EAT, HAVE FUN AND LEARN!

Huntington Beach is a City known as a “Great Place to Age.” The upcoming Active Living Expo, New Ways to Explore Aging, at the Senior Center in Central Park (18041 Goldenwest St) is certainly a reflection of that. This free event will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 10am to 1pm. Following the great success of last year’s Expo, this year promises more vendors and resource tables, including City services and various groups from the Center including the HBPD and HB Fire Department.

JOIN US! We want you to be part of this monumental Saturday in Central Park! Your business/organization will receive a tremendous amount of exposure, contacts, and networking opportunities.

The Expo provides information from a large swath of the aging community: alternative medicine, genealogy, Medicare brokers, independent and assisted living, home health care, home safety, service groups and personal training. This is a just a sample of all the services that will be highlighted.

We are proud to announce that Hoag Hospital has joined as a Title Sponsor. The event will include a DJ to keep the crowds excited, entertainment and good food from Baby’s Burgers as well as shaved ice and other snacks available for purchase.

In addition to the hundreds served through our Social Services division, the Senior Center is currently welcoming thousands of participants weekly to the Center with a variety of classes, activities, workshops and events. City staff and volunteers are eager to show off what is important in aging services.

The event is made possible through the strong relationship between the City of Huntington Beach and the Huntington Beach Council on Aging (HBCOA), whose fundraising efforts assist in maintaining these important programs.
