Senior Center in Central Park
Welcome!
The City of Huntington Beach, Senior Center in Central Park is a focal point for an array of programs and services important to the quality of life in our community. The center is a multi-purpose facility which offers opportunities for involvement, connection, and support. It is a hub for social, recreational, and educational programs promoting wellness. Friendly City staff and volunteers help make visitors feel welcomed and informed. HBCOA is proud to provide essential support to Senior Center in Central Park’s programs and services.
Social Services
The Senior Center in Central Park offers many services to help address common issues confronting seniors in the community. These services provide much needed assistance on subjects ranging from nutrition to transportation. Care Managers provided information and referral, one-on-one consultations, and short or long term services to help those with unmet needs age optimally within their community. Classes, Activities, Clubs
A wide variety of classes are available at the Senior Center through the Community & Library Services Department. Adults in the second half of life can sharpen skills, have fun, get a workout, and exercise the mind. There are multiple classrooms and a game room which have free and low cost activities and classes as well as contract courses offered through hbsands.org. The senior center is also home to a variety of social activities and clubs that cater to interests of all types. Hoag Health and Wellness Pavilion
The Hoag Health and Wellness Pavilion at the senior center is fully furnished with user-friendly fitness equipment. Classes, appointments with personal trainers, and independent workout time are all available. Memberships are reasonable and covered by some Medicare Advantage Plans. 714.374.1578
Senior Lunch Café by Meals on Wheels Orange County
In person lunch at Senior Center in Central Park offered each weekday at 11:30 AM. A donation of $3.00 per meal is suggested for those 60 years and older. For those under 60, the fee is $5.00. A Menu is available in the monthly Outlook Newsletter and more information is available by calling (714) 536-8404.
Volunteer Services
Success of senior center programs and services is in a large part due to the tremendous support of volunteers. In 2025, volunteers provided over 45,000 hours of service through driving, office assistance, teaching, cleaning, events support, nutrition support, and more.
